Conduct video conferences for free

Video conferencing is a new way for people in businesses and organizations to meet. There are various tools available—some are available for free, while others require a subscription. Jitsi Meet is one of the emerging video conferencing apps today. It is an open-source communication software that is free, easy to use, and requires little to no onboarding. It encrypts all your calls and does not sell your data. As a bonus, you don’t need an account to start using the app.

Video conferencing simplified

Jitsi Meet simplifies the process of conducting video conferences. As mentioned, it does not require users to create an account to get started. Once launched, users will only need to type in the room name that they want to create or join in. When creating a group chat, it is recommended to make the meeting name unique to make it easier for other participants to find the room.

You can then invite others to your room by sending them the link to your meeting. Unlike other video calling apps, such as ZoomSkype, and Microsoft Teams, your contacts will only need to click the link to connect with you. They don't need to download the app.

Jitsi Meet offers a host of features that can compete directly with paid video chat tools. You can record your meetings and even live stream them. You can also share Youtube video with your contacts. If you don’t have a stable connection, you can manage the quality of the video and set it to low bandwidth to prevent the call from being interrupted. As the creator of the room, you have the option to switch to tile view to see everyone in the call. You can also mute everyone, so you won’t be interrupted while you talk. Jitsi Meet encrypts all your calls by default, so you are sure that your conversations are safe.

Make the call

All in all, Jitsi Meet is a good alternative to popular video calling apps. It is easy to use and does not require complicated account setup. More, there is no limit to the number of participants. However, a large number of people in a call may cause glitches. A lot of times, there is a delay in the audio, and there are also a few connectivity issues.
